Bug Hunting!

St Peter's Class had a fantastic time hunting for bugs during our Outdoor Learning session this week. This was linked to our Science learning, which focuses on animals in their habitats (including microhabitats!).

We discussed how the creatures they found (such as worms, woodlice and snails) are adapted to live in their habitats. Working in pairs, the children were able to use our bug viewers to take a close-up look of the bugs they found. It was great fun!
Monday 26th September 2023

On Monday 26th September, we headed to Burnham-on-Sea with Year 6 for a school trip. After arriving at the beach, we walked to a beautiful nature reserve, enjoying some lovely sights on the way. After a snack, we hiked back down to the beach, where we explored the rock pools and found some crabs!

After this, we headed down to the coastline to set ourselves up for the afternoon. We enjoyed a big group picnic, followed by games and digging in the sand. It was a fantastic day, and we were lucky enough to enjoy some sunny weather!
