Autumn Term 2 2025

Week beginning the 3rd November 2025
What a fantastic first week back to the term we have had! It has been full of excitement as we celebrated the Stroud Book Festival and enjoyed some incredible experiences together.

We were lucky enough to welcome Sian Hughes, who shared her wonderful story Cat Wanted. The children were captivated as Sian brought the tale to life with fantastic props and interactive storytelling. They loved joining in and acting out parts of the story—it was a truly memorable experience that sparked lots of laughter and creativity.

We also joined an online session with Rachel Bright, the author of The Lion Inside. Her interactive reading encouraged the children to think about confidence and kindness in a fun and inspiring way. The children were thrilled to take part and couldn’t stop talking about their favourite moments.

Alongside all the excitement, we’ve been diving back into our maths learning. This week, we’ve been exploring numbers up to 100, focusing on place value and spotting patterns on the hundreds square. The children have enjoyed using practical resources and working together to build their understanding of tens and ones—it’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow!
