Welcome to St Joseph’s Parent Teacher Association!
At St Joseph’s, the PTA works closely with our teachers, parents and wider school community to raise funds that can make a real difference to our children’s school experience.
Through fun events for the children and enjoyable social events for parents, grandparents and carers, our aim is to raise money for things that our children can enjoy and benefit from during their time at St Joseph’s.
Over the years, the PTA has funded many things to support the school, including contributions towards school trips, outdoor learning toys, film on the classroom windows to help keep classrooms cooler, and books for every year group. We are always looking for new ways to support the school and provide resources and experiences that benefit our children.
We run all sorts of events and fundraising activities throughout the year, from Breakfast with Santa, raffles and Easter events to fun runs, non-uniform days, crazy hair days, quiz nights, cake sales and ice cream sales. We also run our pre-loved uniform shop, helping families access school uniform at a more affordable price while raising funds for the PTA.
And that’s just the beginning! The list is never-ending, and we are always looking for new ideas and fun ways to raise money and bring our school community together.
The PTA is a charity (registered in England & Wales, number 1031952) and is open to all parents, grandparents and carers of children at St Joseph’s. You don’t have to do anything to ‘join’ as such — everyone is welcome to get involved in whatever way they can.
We have a core committee who help run the PTA and are the charity’s trustees. We also have a fantastic group of parents and family members who volunteer to help at events by setting up, serving refreshments, running activities and helping behind the scenes.
Whatever time you can spare, whether it’s helping at anevent, donating items, sharing ideas or simply supporting our fundraising activities, it all makes a difference. The more support we receive, the more we can give back to our school and our children.
