Week 1
Welcome back to another term in St. Patrick's Class. We are off to a brilliant start already, working hard on our new topic: The Romans.
We've been having really high expectations in our handwriting this week, the children cannot wait for their grown ups to see their work at Parent's Evening.
In Maths we have been looking at multiplication and division. It is so important to practice these skills and grow in confidence, especially in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication Check. If you would like to practice at home, this website has lots of free games. I recommend practicing this one, as it is very similar to the Year 4 quiz and you can adjust the difficulty. In Year 3, we practice the 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 times tables.
In PE we have moved on to improving our Football skills. I was so impressed with how well the children managed keeping control of the ball. Of course, we are still going swimming this term, starting next week on Tuesdays. We are really excited!
We had a great Outdoor Learning session this week, making maps of Europe. You can find some great pictures below!
We have been growing in our faith this week by studying the Feeding of the 5000. We found this story really interesting, and have decided to work hard through our own actions to maker sure everyone has enough, like Jesus did.
