Global Citizenship Skills - looking after our Wellbeing
Together, let's grow into Global Citizens!  You are valued, loved and unique.

By practicing our Ways to Wellbeing, we are REACHing through play.

Wellbeing Ambassadors

We would like everyone in school to be happy! We would like you to know what to do when you need help and know what can help you to feel good.

Our Aim

Our aim for the year, is to raise the profile of the role of the Wellbeing Ambassadors and the 5 ways to wellbeing.

We are children who have shown a real interest in championing positive mental health and wellbeing.  We are keen to share what we know about mental health and advertise the importance of self-care.  We have a responsibility for leading and promoting wellbeing throughout school. We will provide feedback on what’s working well and highlight any changes that are needed to our whole-school approaches to wellbeing.

We will promote wellbeing of everyone by:

  • upholding our school values and sharing the catholic ethos
  • listening to everyone's ideas
  • celebrating achievements
  • supporting at playtimes

Our first message to you is about what you can do everyday to help yourself feel good and we want you all to remember that these three things will help with mental wellbeing!

You Must:

  • Eat well
  • Sleep well
  • Exercise
At Lunchtimes and playtimes:-
We practice the 5 Ways to Wellbeing through REACHing to be the best that we can be.
Take Notice
Keep Learning Taking notice is about making the time to appreciate the world around us. Being aware of the present moment, and your own feelings and thoughts, can help you to positively change how you’re feeling about life.
Being around other people can help to boost our mood and helps us feel connected to the wider world. Putting aside time to develop relationships with people that make you feel happy can improve how you feel.
Evidence shows that improvements in your physical health can help improve your mental health. It could be something as simple as going for a walk, playing in the park or kicking a ball around.
Keep Learning
Learning new skills can boost confidence and give you a sense of achievement. It may be that you choose to read a book or listen to you parents/carers/grandparents tell you something about their lives.
Helping others, saying thank you, or just giving someone a smile can help to improve your self-esteem and your wellbeing.
Ways to Wellbeing
Try to complete all of the activities below... keep a diary and share what you have done in our Citizenship Skills Assembly.
Wellness Prayer
Dear Lord,
I pray that you will continue to develop in me the graces that create emotional wellness,
Help me care for my body and mind to keep it strong,
Guide me to use and express my emotions in appropriate and healthy ways,
And prevent me from acting before I think,
A Poem for our wonderful children who have accomplished so much - We are so very proud of each and every one of you
You might think you need to be a superhero to wear a big, shiny cape,
Tied tightly around your shoulders sitting proudly on your nape,
Have fantastic superpowers that will let you fly high,
With such inner strength that you should never feel the need to cry.
But you have been our little heroes whilst spending so much time at home,
Loved ones who have been shielding have known that they are not alone,
With your thoughtfulness and kindness they have felt how much you care,
How perfectly wonderful that our reward will be time to share.
So, let your cape of kindness that has kept your loved one’s safe,
Wrap around you tightly and comfort you in our place,
Let us help you on your journey whilst you continue to fly high,
And be your absolutely lovely self as you REACH up towards the sky.
